Frank is the current President of the European Athletics Coaches
Association, Chair of Scottish Athletics, Member of the IAAF Coaches
Commission, as well as Chair (and architect) of the IAAF Academy, and formerly Chairman
of the British Olympic Coaches
Advisory Programme (1983 - 1994), and Director of Coaching for the
British Athletics Federation (1974 - 1994).
In 2005 Frank launched www.wellgoal.com, an interactive tool
used as a means of a personal lifestyle system check and a framework
for his 'WellGoal
Workshops.
His standalone presentation on 'Managing Your Three Lane Motorway'
offers an insight into these new learning tools and tips on how to
improve the management of your health and wellbeing, both in and
outside of work.
Frank is the author of four major publications, 'Sports Training Principles', 'Winning', 'Winning Lines', and Winning
Matters.
Frank's
contribution to sport and coaching has been recognised in being awarded
an OBE in 1989, induction to the UK Coaches Hall of Fame in 1999 and
the prestigious title "UK Sporting Hero" by Sport UK in 2001.
In
2003 Frank was awarded an honary doctorate from Loughborough University
and in 2011 Frank was awarded a honary Professorship from the
Bulgarian
National Sports Academy, - both acknowledging his significant and
outstanding contribution (nationally and internationally) to
the science and art of coaching.
