Winning Matters’  is the latest book by the renowned inspiring motivational speaker

Dr Frank Dick OBE.

Frank’s expertise is derived from years as Director of Coaching for British Athletics at the time when stars such as Sebastian Coe, Steve Cram and Steve Ovett were at their peak – as well as individual coaching of sporting greats including Daley Thompson and Gerhard Berger.

By recognizing the synergy between effective coaching techniques on the playing field and in the commercial environment, Frank has developed a range of inspirational keynote themes, workshop topics and bespoke employee development programs.

Frank wrote his previous book entitled ‘Winning’, as he found himself addressing audiences who wanted to know if the skills and motivation from sporting achievement could be successfully translated into performance within the business environment.

Having spoken to over 500,000 business people during the past 20 years, the positive feedback has proven that the coaching concepts and motivation tips conveyed in the book and in presentations have made a difference.   He believes that he now has a greater in-depth understanding of the challenges faced when attempting to win in the business arena at all levels. The skills required are in some ways more subtle than those required in sport and he has honed the sporting paradigms and analogies in ‘Winning Matters’ to reflect this.

Designed for busy and productive people whose time is precious, it is possible to dip in and out of
‘Winning Matters’ and easily pick up a motivating quote or thought, or explore a particular topic in a few minutes.

“Whatever you do in life, it is almost inevitable that your performance is assessed.  To perform you need two basic attributes that when combined and developed make you a winner:

-A desire to achieve

-A set of skills in order to be able to achieve".
